Job Summary

The Academic Advisor I will provide guidance and support to undergraduate and graduate students regarding their academic journeys. This role involves maintaining student records and engaging with various stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Consultation:
Meet with students to address inquiries related to their academic programs, including registration, degree requirements, and Institute policies.

2. Records Management:
Conduct reference searches and manage student records in response to inquiries.

3. Faculty Collaboration:
Assist faculty with administrative and student-related matters as needed.

4. Reporting:
Prepare assessment reports and maintain relevant student records and databases.

5. Curriculum Oversight:
Review and process actions related to academic curriculum.

6. Interdepartmental Interaction:
Collaborate with other academic units for joint programs.

7. Event Coordination:
Organize and schedule student-related events as necessary.

8. Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Three to four years of relevant experience in an academic setting.

Preferred Skills

Ability to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and proficiency in specialized software applications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of university-level academic requirements and administrative processes, along with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
