Position Summary
This role involves providing guidance and support to undergraduate and graduate students regarding their academic journeys. The advisor will maintain accurate student records and engage with a variety of stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Consultation: Engage with students to address inquiries related to their academic programs, including requirements, registration, and policy clarifications.
2. Records Management: Conduct reference searches and manage student records in response to inquiries.
3. Faculty Support: Assist faculty with administrative and student-related matters as needed.
4. Reporting: Prepare assessment reports and maintain relevant student records and databases.
5. Curriculum Processing: Review and manage curriculum-related actions.
6. Collaboration: Work with other academic units on joint programs.
7. Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate student events as required.
8. Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Three to four years in a related field.
Preferred Skills
Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and proficiency in specialized software applications.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This position requires a solid understanding of university-level academic program requirements and administrative processes, alongside strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
