This role involves executing complex administrative tasks associated with the Registrar's Office and ensuring compliance with academic regulations. The advisor will provide guidance to students and academic advisors regarding institutional policies and may focus on specific areas such as transfer credits or student athlete eligibility.
Key Responsibilities- Advise students and academic advisors on institutional rules and regulations, with potential specialization in specific areas.
- Assist students in preparing necessary documentation and evaluate requests against regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Registrar on petitions and certifications, coordinating with various campus departments.
- Interpret and apply academic policies while providing training to staff and advisors.
- Manage services related to tuition classification and residency petitions.
- Act as a liaison among faculty, staff, and enrollment services to maintain effective communication.
- Oversee technology projects to enhance database management and process improvements.
- Compile data for audits and institutional reviews.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Four to six years in a related field.
Experience in a university environment with a focus on interpreting academic regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong communication and organizational skills, ability to interpret complex regulations, and proficiency in student information systems.
