We are in search of a dedicated Sales Account Manager to oversee the West Industrial and Environmental Territory within our Analytical Instruments division. This role is pivotal in fostering robust relationships with clients, broadening our customer reach, generating new sales leads, and providing support to end users throughout the Western United States. The successful candidate will engage in client visits, showcase our solutions, participate in regional conferences, collaborate with diverse teams, and strive to meet sales objectives while driving business growth.

This is a remote position requiring travel within the designated territory, which encompasses the West Region - CA, ID, NV, OR, WA, AZ, MT, WY, NM, UT, AK, Canada - BC, AL, NW Territory & Yukon. Candidates should reside near a major airport in the Western United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within existing and prospective customer networks
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure long-term success
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries
  • Address customer issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Monitor account status and transactions
  • Set and track sales targets in alignment with company objectives
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences to enhance visibility and create sales opportunities
  • Travel within the territory for business development and product demonstrations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills
  • Experience with analytical instruments, particularly in Industrial and Environmental sectors
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of industrial applications related to product lines
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-driven with excellent time management skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success in capital equipment sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment systems, municipal water systems, and ultra-high purity water treatment systems

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel within the Western Territory - West Region - CA, ID, NV, OR, WA, AZ, MT, WY, NM, UT, AK, Canada - BC, AL, NW Territory & Yukon (at least 50% of the time)
  • Valid driver's license and passport required
  • Must successfully pass a background check for Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
