Job Summary

Talis Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join their team in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of the organization, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Strategy and Implementation: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's business objectives, working closely with leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Employee Relations and Labor Management: Promote positive employee/labor relations, investigate employee issues, and lead a small onsite HR team that supports Employee/Labor Relations, Recruiting, Training, and Safety.
  • HR Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide decision support through the compilation and reporting of various HR data, overseeing workplace investigations, disciplinary action, and ensuring consistency in the application of policies.
  • Union Relations and Contract Administration: Work closely with union representatives to administer contracts, manage grievances, and navigate the union relationships.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, SHRM certification desired.
  • Language Skills: Fluent (verbal/written) in English and Spanish.
  • HR Experience: Proven experience with union relations and contract administration, minimum 7 years of progressive HR Generalist background.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive Excel experience (advanced user level).
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Knowledge and Expertise: In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices, manufacturing industry experience required.
  • Availability and Flexibility: Ability to work onsite and be available across three shifts as occasionally needed.
