The Nursing Program Coordinator is essential in enhancing the operational efficiency of the Nurse Advocate Team. In this role, you will have the chance to positively impact our patients' lives daily, serving as a vital member of their dedicated support system as they navigate the complexities of accessing their specialized medications. You will lead a compassionate team committed to delivering exceptional service to numerous patients each day. Additionally, you will act as a consultant to our clients, leveraging your expertise to continuously improve the program's effectiveness in supporting patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Comprehend client goals and integrate them into program service objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with contracted service levels in program execution.
  • Oversee the management of client service requests, ensuring timely completion.
  • Implement and manage client-specific operational guidelines.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements for program efficiency and service delivery.
  • Analyze data to provide actionable insights that align with client objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to eliminate non-clinical barriers for patients.

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor and report weekly on factors affecting the program's financial outlook.
  • Prepare summaries for the development and review of client invoices.

Team Development

  • Identify and nurture talent for open positions, including preparing internal candidates for advancement.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Work proactively with HR to ensure a consistent pipeline of candidates.
  • Drive training and development initiatives to enhance team retention.
  • Provide targeted coaching to improve team performance and efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for patient navigators, assisting in their training and addressing operational process issues.

Client Engagement

  • Prepare and analyze operational results specific to clients.
  • Lead the preparation of client business review meetings, presenting operational metrics and insights.
  • Act as the primary contact for program-related inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Ensure proper reporting of Adverse Events/Product Complaints in accordance with client guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience in rare diseases, neurology, or oncology preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector required.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in nurse line triage, call center utilization management, or case management is a plus.
  • Prior personnel management experience is required; experience managing managers is advantageous.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech companies, or hub service providers is essential.
  • Familiarity with specialty drug products, health insurance claims, and commercialization processes is beneficial.
  • Previous experience leading customer service teams is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is an advantage.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to communicate effectively and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to type with a minimum speed of 35 WPM and 97% accuracy.
  • This role is office-based, requiring the ability to remain seated for long durations.
  • Minimal travel flexibility may be required.
  • Standard office equipment such as computers and phones will be used regularly.
