Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Freudenberg Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and guidance on various HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • HRIS Management: Maintain and update our HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate and timely data entry, including adding new associates, processing new hires, and updating salary and accounting changes.
  • Employee Tracking and Support: Track and manage employee vacation, quarterly awards, HR training, and time off requests, and provide assistance to supervisory and managerial associates as needed.
  • Personnel File Management: Create, update, and maintain all personnel files in compliance with applicable federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Benefit Administration: Administer benefit programs, generate communication, and counsel employees/dependents as situations arise, resolving employee complaints related to health and welfare plans.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics: Assist in generating HR reporting metrics and end-of-month reports to support business decision-making.
  • Leave and Workers' Compensation Management: Track, maintain, and monitor leave of absence and workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Culture and Recognition: Drive a culture of appreciation by administering employee recognition programs and planning company events and activities.
  • Corporate Projects: Assist the Global VP of Human Resources with corporate HR projects as needed.
  • Talent Management: Support the Freudenberg Medical (FM) Talent Management process, ensuring a full succession pipeline and developing relevant potentials for future positions.
  • Recruitment Support: Partner with Talent Acquisition in the recruitment of key/difficult-to-fill positions within the location.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research into Human Resource programs and activities, recommending changes and/or innovations when desirable.
  • Training and Development: Develop and supervise training programs, assisting with the administration of new associate orientation and indoctrination programs.
  • HR Policy Interpretation: Partner with Management in the interpretation of Human Resource policies, advising and participating in disciplinary and/or termination proceedings.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administration and general human resources activities, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Recruiting Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of full-service recruiting experience.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present information to a small group.
  • HR Knowledge: Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources and familiarity with federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Payroll, and HRIS systems, preferably Workday, SAP, and ADP.
  • Personal Qualities: Maintain a friendly, positive, and approachable demeanor in all situations, trustworthy, discrete, and a high degree of personal integrity to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to effectively prioritize and execute projects/tasks in a high-pressure environment while balancing multiple projects and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Flexible, open to change, and accepting of new unique projects or responsibilities, desire to continuously learn and stay current on laws, rules, regulations, and trends affecting the human resources field.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
