Position Overview:

As a Lead Technical Sales Executive in the Automotive Sector, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and enhancing profit margins through the management of existing and new client relationships within the automotive and OEM markets. Your expertise will be essential in executing targeted sales strategies and achieving defined sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with automotive clients to meet sales goals, ensuring that Parker products are prioritized to maximize revenue and margin.
  • Maintain an in-depth technical understanding of EMG products, including their applications, features, advantages, and benefits, while staying updated with relevant training and development.
  • Secure specifications and approvals from engineering firms and major accounts to foster increased sales opportunities and profitability.
  • Monitor competitive products and market activities, providing regular reports to management and sales teams on industry changes that may impact customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with divisions to strategize on product offerings and services tailored to assigned accounts, while also delivering product training to customers.
  • Analyze and disseminate market forecasts related to customer needs and company marketing initiatives, implementing strategies to uncover new revenue streams.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by coordinating necessary resources to address client needs effectively.
  • Oversee all ongoing customer and engineering communications within the automotive sector.

Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 7-10 years of experience in direct sales of industrial technical products, along with progressive experience in sales or divisional operations.
  • 3-5 years of experience specifically within the automotive industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; proficiency in PC applications is required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and sustaining growth in assigned territories.
  • Extensive experience in technical sales.
  • Ability to read and analyze engineered prints.
  • Experience in Program Management.
  • Knowledge of APQP processes related to automotive launches.
  • Willingness to travel overnight 50%-70% of the time as needed.

Preferred:
  • A technical degree is preferred.
  • Relevant product and system certifications are advantageous.
  • Recognition as a multiple sales award winner (e.g., Diamond, President, Inner Circle).
