We are in search of a skilled National Account Sales Leader to manage the strategic development and profitable expansion of key national accounts.

We seek a visionary strategist who comprehends the nuances of increasing top-line revenue while simultaneously enhancing the bottom line through effective distribution growth and trade planning initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with exceptional presentation and communication abilities, possessing prior CPG sales experience within the Mass & Club Channels.



Key Responsibilities

  • Driving profitable sales growth by collaborating with merchants to pinpoint new business prospects, crafting effective strategies, and executing specialized sales and business relations programs that lead to increased sales within defined promotional trade spend parameters.
  • Implementing effective sales, marketing, and business strategies for assigned clients to identify, forecast, and close sales opportunities; actively promoting and launching new products in the market.
  • Enhancing brand visibility by adhering to established sales call protocols, actively advocating the value proposition of products to cultivate profitable, sustainability-focused partnerships and alliances.
  • Conducting impactful sales calls to generate increased business.
  • Actively listening to and addressing customer and internal needs promptly.
  • Formulating trade plans for assigned clients that align with budgetary constraints.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and brokers.
  • Exhibiting effective relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders, preparing and communicating call plans, business plans, and proposals in advance to the VP of Sales.
  • Maintaining an accurate customer database, including data entry for all sales activities, pre and post-call plan actions, and the status of new business development opportunities.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and other departments regularly to design, implement, and facilitate sales solutions, as well as mutually beneficial overall business solutions.
  • Creating, developing, and nurturing strategic relationships with industry peers by participating in networking events and industry trade shows to establish and sustain strong business networks for sales generation.
  • Attending market trade shows to promote the company and its brand message through collateral, product displays, and product information dissemination.
  • Traveling as necessary to foster sales and to create, develop, and maintain excellent business relationships.
  • Assisting with additional responsibilities and assignments as required by management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of sales experience, preferably in consumer products.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling a brand with omni-channel retailers.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data (SPINS) and the ability to leverage data to create fact-based selling narratives.
  • Proven account management experience.
  • Financial acumen to deliver profitable sales growth, sales planning, promotional analysis, and sales forecasting.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the continental United States.
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships with both internal and external business partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
