BCG Platinion, which began in Germany in 2000, enhances the Boston Consulting Group's existing capabilities with deep technical expertise. Our offices span Asia, Europe, and both North and South America. The North American team, based in New York, started in 2014 and expanded its capabilities in technology and design by acquiring MAYA Design in 2017, a digital design and innovation lab located in Pittsburgh.

We assist our clients in their comprehensive digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. Together with BCG, our interdisciplinary team of technical experts enables tailored technical solutions and accelerates value delivery through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

Role Overview

As an Enterprise Applications Advisor at BCG Platinion, you will:

  • Foster collaboration as an interdisciplinary team player, building relationships across various stakeholder groups and existing teams.
  • Advocate for Agile methodologies, utilizing your expertise to strategically address complex challenges and implement change.
  • Navigate ambiguity with confidence, recognizing that the path forward may not always be clearly defined.
  • Leverage your technical expertise as a critical thinker to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Act as a change agent, facilitating organizational change by aligning and onboarding teams to implement new processes and tools.
  • Influence stakeholders by building strong relationships based on trust.

Your Expertise Includes:

  • Managing large-scale ERP initiatives.
  • Restructuring business and IT processes within an ERP framework.
  • Supporting IT functions during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on the functional and technical transformation of IT departments.
  • Evaluating IT and ERP architecture.
  • Developing strategic roadmaps and current state assessments.
  • Designing and executing feasibility studies for ERP strategies.
  • Defining deployment strategies at both global and local levels.
  • Developing infrastructure approaches and high-level designs for ERP solutions (cloud, on-premises, hybrid).
  • Considering data and integration aspects related to ERP platforms.
  • Enhancing the value derived from ERP systems.
  • Restructuring core ERP processes (functional and/or technical).
  • Managing IT projects and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Analyzing and assessing ERP architectures.
  • Recommending ERP software and platforms.
Qualifications and Experience
You Bring:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, natural sciences, information technology, business management, or a related field.
  • Over 2 years of practical experience in IT/ERP consulting, professional software development, or IT project management, focusing on one or more of the following:
    • SAP
    • Salesforce
    • Oracle (Financials, NetSuite, Fusion, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, etc.)
    • Workday
  • Experience in business process design and configuration.
  • Previous management experience in two or more end-to-end ERP implementations in either waterfall or agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
  • Experience managing decision-making processes in large organizations.
  • A strong customer and results orientation.
  • Confidence and persuasive skills.
  • Experience planning and managing large, complex projects.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and business needs, with an expectation of 30-50% travel.

The first year base compensation for this role is $110,000 in USD.

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market-leading benefits package described below.
