Job Summary

The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks exceptional faculty members to join a dedicated group of medical educators in the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee upper-level residents/APPs in their cross-cover and admitting roles
  • Work jointly at the University of New Mexico main campus in Albuquerque and Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho
  • Teach medical students and resident physicians in both pre-clinical and clinical years of training
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and leadership opportunities
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine by date of hire
  • Experience or interest in nighttime medicine and medical education or quality improvement activities
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success
