Job Summary

The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks exceptional faculty members to join a dedicated group of medical educators in the Division of Hospital Medicine. The position is open rank/open track, and the salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee upper-level residents/APPs in their cross-cover and admitting roles
  • Work jointly at the University of New Mexico main campus in Albuquerque and Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho
  • Teach medical students and resident physicians in both pre-clinical and clinical years of training
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and have opportunities for protected time for education, leadership, and quality improvement
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine by date of hire
  • Experience/interest in nighttime medicine
  • Experience/interest in medical education or quality improvement activities
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
