Position Summary:
The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking an Allergy and Immunology specialist to enhance the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Allergy Medicine. This division serves a unique patient population in a diverse and underserved area. As the only academic medical center in the state, there are ample opportunities for innovation in education and patient care for both rural and urban communities from various cultural backgrounds. The position will primarily be based in the outpatient clinic of the University of New Mexico Hospital, where the selected candidate will see patients regularly and may participate in clinical trials.
This multidisciplinary section boasts strong fellowship programs in Pulmonary and Critical Care as well as Sleep Medicine. We are looking for an academically inclined candidate to contribute to our team. This role is open rank on the Clinician Educator track, with salary based on experience and education.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Allergy/Immunology
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality medical care for Allergy disorders, particularly in adult patients
- Experience in educating residents and medical students
- Evidence of scholarly contributions
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, along with experience working with diverse communities
