Your Team

The marketing division is a dynamic and enthusiastic group, brimming with creativity and excitement to launch campaigns that consistently challenge the norm. Initially, you will manage one direct report, collaboratively driving our marketing initiatives in the US. This pivotal role demands insights, strategic acumen, and localized expertise as we enhance our already thriving presence in the US market. You will work closely with our UK headquarters to ensure our marketing strategies are innovative, brand-aligned, and tailored to the US audience.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the expansion of our US brand marketing from our Los Angeles office. Collaborating with the broader UK marketing team, you will implement the US strategy, forge brand partnerships that create mutual benefits, and broaden our reach. Building relationships with top local talents will be crucial, identifying opportunities for collaboration on US-specific or global campaigns. You will ensure that the brand is prominently featured in key events and moments throughout the year, engaging our target demographic.

You will serve as the main liaison for the UK team regarding the US market, ensuring that our marketing plans align seamlessly with the global strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of organizational skills and creativity, coupled with a personable nature that embraces our brand culture. Inspiring the marketing teams with innovative ideas and helping them express their unique perspectives will be essential. Given the frequent product launches, you must be an adept planner, managing multiple projects across various stakeholders. Success will be measured by meeting launch deadlines and ensuring our US marketing activities align with product releases for maximum impact, utilizing analytical skills to evaluate results and refine strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Advise the Head of Marketing and senior leadership on effective strategies for customer acquisition in the US market.
  • Provide the marketing team with critical market insights regularly.
  • Encourage innovative thinking to explore new platforms that engage our 18-25 customer demographic.
  • Communicate progress and actions to senior management weekly, ensuring follow-through across relevant teams.
  • Manage the US marketing team, including performance reviews and setting KPIs during annual evaluations.
  • Support all US events and activations.
  • Lead key campaign launches in the US, ensuring effective execution across all channels.
  • Oversee the US marketing calendar, including key holidays, activations, and events, while being responsive to market developments.
  • Act as the primary contact for the UK team regarding the US market.
  • Ensure alignment of US marketing plans with the global marketing strategy.
  • Manage the US sample budget, providing monthly breakdowns of expenditures.
  • Supervise brand partnerships in the US, ensuring alignment with relevant brands to enhance awareness of boohooMAN.
  • Identify new opportunities within event marketing and build influencer relationships through showroom events.
  • Delve into product launches, devising creative marketing strategies for the continuous flow of new products.
  • Localize marketing initiatives to ensure target categories and regions receive tailored activations.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a background in a fast-paced marketing environment, with experience in coordinating comprehensive marketing activities and a proven track record of delivering ROI on marketing investments.

You should be driven, skilled in team management, self-motivated, and capable of effective communication at all levels, with a curious and innovative mindset.

Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work are essential, along with a positive attitude and attention to detail.

  • Extensive strategic experience in a dynamic digital B2C or agency setting, preferably with significant brand experience.
  • Prior experience in team management.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and influencing capabilities.
  • Experience in fast fashion is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Robust background in digital marketing.
  • Confidence and experience in budget management.
