Position Summary:
As the Head of Procurement Strategy at Ruggable, you will be instrumental in advancing our diversification initiatives and nurturing long-term partnerships with our current suppliers while assessing potential new suppliers. You will act as both a decisive leader and a creative problem-solver within the Operations team. Specifically, your role will involve sourcing for several of our top-selling products and driving ongoing enhancements with our vendor partners. You will be tasked with evaluating product samples, analyzing costs, and providing constructive feedback to suppliers to broaden and enhance our global supplier network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute long-term sourcing strategies for Ruggable.
- Establish and enforce Ruggable's supplier quality protocols to ensure accountability.
- Foster robust relationships with Ruggable's factories, vendors, and cross-functional teams to cultivate a collaborative environment.
- Design and implement Ruggable's supplier development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with our Product Development team to expedite the introduction of innovative products to the market.
- Oversee vendor-related projects and processes, including the creation of new tools to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to seasonal deadlines, proactively addressing issues and keeping the team informed.
- Investigate new markets and identify suppliers to stabilize and fill product assortment gaps.
- Work alongside the team to onboard new regions, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement and/or Product Development with a globally distributed supplier network.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of international regulations, including tariffs and duties.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities.
- Experience in managing direct reports and/or cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally for supplier site evaluations.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Specific expertise in textile, apparel, and/or home décor manufacturing and supply chain.
- Established relationships with qualified supplier contacts.
Compensation Package:
- Annual base salary ranging from $150,000 to $165,000.
- Annual performance-based bonus.
- Employer matching contributions (up to 3% of base salary) for the company-sponsored 401K plan.
