Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with accurate information and outstanding service. Your role will involve responding to inquiries from guests both in person and over the phone, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and complete the check-in process using both manual and computerized systems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with guest departures by following established procedures to finalize accounts and prepare rooms for the next guests.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring timely and precise billing at check-out.
  • Respond to inquiries and accept reservations in a courteous manner, effectively communicating rates and utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance occupancy and revenue.
  • Maintain strong customer relations by staying informed about in-house activities and local events to provide knowledgeable responses to guest inquiries.
  • Operate the PBX system to manage incoming and outgoing calls, schedule wake-up calls, and ensure efficient communication with guests.
  • Exercise complete responsibility for cash handling at the front desk in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor at all times, contributing to a positive guest experience.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
No prior experience required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
  • Experience in customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle various customer service challenges with tact and understanding.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when multitasking.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to read written communications and operate a computer.
  • Capability to follow verbal and written instructions and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, with occasional bending and lifting of items up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:
This position involves working indoors in a climate-controlled environment with fluorescent lighting.

Compensation:
USD $18.00 /Hr.
