Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Executive to promote and sell the City of Minneapolis as a premier destination for conventions and meetings. The successful candidate will achieve individual room night goals to positively impact both hotel and Minneapolis Convention Center occupancies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual definite room night goals and other job-related objectives.
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities, maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage progress of tentative accounts, coordinate bid proposals, and conduct client site inspections and FAM tours as required.
- Utilize databases such as iDSS and MINT to track account activity and update information.
- Travel to attend business-related trade shows, sales missions, sales calls, training, meetings, and presentations.
- Five years of hospitality industry sales experience, with a preference for candidates experienced in selling multi-property and/or convention centers.
- Previous experience selling to the East Coast market is a plus.
- Four-year degree from an academic institution, in business or hospitality, is preferred but not required.
- An annual base salary of $70,000 - $100,000, depending on geographic location, plus a sales incentive plan.
