Senior Vice President, Model Risk Management

Position Overview: The Senior Vice President of Model Risk Management is tasked with overseeing the successful execution of Model Risk Management (MRM) initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with MRM leadership, Product Owners of the Model Risk Management System (MRMS), validators, model sponsors, and technology teams. A proven track record in leading diverse teams across Risk and Technology domains is essential. Strong communication skills are critical for effective engagement with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of MRM programs, including the formulation and management of comprehensive project plans.
- Collaborate with MRM and Technology teams to enhance the existing MRMS framework and implement system improvements aligned with the annual technology investment strategy.
- Assist in defining the program scope and design for implementation. Establish RACI matrices and key performance indicators to measure project success.
- Ensure timely communication of project status to all relevant stakeholders, including senior management.
- Identify potential risks affecting program delivery and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Adhere to established Program Management policies and procedures, utilizing tools such as PTS and JIRA.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success as a Program or Project Manager in delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with data design principles and technology architecture.
- Highly organized, self-driven, with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing tight deadlines and adapting to changing requirements.
- Experience in Risk Management is preferred, with knowledge of Model Validation and Development being advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in creating executive summaries and senior management presentations.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is a plus.
