Position Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engineering solutions to assess and validate systems, equipment, and devices, adhering to established engineering principles and specified requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, schedules, and specifications for both new and existing designs; lead efforts for both in-house and outsourced testing resources, creating and managing test tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with management, internal teams, and external testing partners regarding testing progress, project updates, results, and resolution of issues.
  • Lead a team of test engineers and collaborate with internal and outsourced partners to create and execute reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality testing solutions for moderately complex products.
  • Act as the representative for the test engineering team throughout all phases of larger and more complex development projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members in software best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Willingness to obtain a security clearance if required.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficient in Python, Bash, and script writing for automating testing processes and achieving specific objectives.
  • Possess a mentoring mindset to support team members in developing efficient software solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English is essential for effectively conveying testing plans, proposals, and results, as well as negotiating options at management levels.
