Position Overview:

The Mechanical / Thermal Engineer will primarily operate in an onsite capacity, collaborating closely with teams at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and develop mechanical systems and materials, ensuring robust performance and reliability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design margin assessments, and validation testing for innovative designs.
  • Lead architectural development and evaluation processes, providing insights into material properties and design techniques.
  • Address thermal challenges in server designs, focusing on creating effective cooling solutions that excel in thermal and acoustic performance.
  • Oversee system-level thermal design, including fan and heatsink technology, fluid dynamics, and control logic.
  • Engage with vendors to resolve technical issues and facilitate project progress.
  • Participate in initial concept development, mechanical design, and thermal simulation using relevant software tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in mechanical or thermal design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as ProEngineer or Solidworks.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in electronics packaging and design of sheet metal and plastic components.
  • Familiarity with CFD and thermal mockups for validating thermal solutions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
