Mechanical Assembly Specialist

This position is designated as 'Onsite' with the expectation that you will primarily operate from an HPE office.

Position Overview:

Job Family Definition:

This role involves the development and execution of initiatives within product areas to achieve production, quality, cost, and predictability objectives for manufacturing sites. Responsibilities include performing a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing process, which may encompass basic assembly, installation or processing of components, operation of hand tools and machinery, and compiling data for reporting purposes. At a higher level, responsibilities may extend to customer design and software application.

Management Level Definition:

Utilizes acquired knowledge of job skills, company policies, and procedures to tackle a diverse range of complex assignments. Possesses a thorough understanding of both general and technical aspects of the role. Engages in assignments that require moderate complexity and problem-solving skills, working under limited supervision with minimal guidance on routine tasks and general instructions for new assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing process, exercising independent judgment.
  • Adheres to detailed documentation and instructions to perform process-oriented tasks such as testing, inspecting, or advanced assembly.
  • Identifies areas for process enhancement and seeks guidance for resolution when necessary.
  • Assists in training new personnel.
  • Operates multiple machines while ensuring quality assurance.
  • Controls and utilizes machinery and tools, selecting appropriate processes and programs for execution.
  • Responsible for auditing materials and assemblies for quality assurance.
  • Coordinates tasks within a team environment.
  • Understands and meets customer expectations effectively.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Fluency in English and local language.
  • Strong mathematical and reading comprehension abilities.
  • Demonstrated physical capability (e.g., manual dexterity).
  • Excellent understanding of tools and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective teamwork and coordination abilities.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to the business function and segment.
  • Basic computer software proficiency.
