Job Responsibilities:

  • Design engineering solutions to assess and validate systems, equipment, and devices based on established engineering principles and in alignment with provided specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans, schedules, and criteria for all components of new and existing designs; lead the design and management of outsourced and in-house testing resources, including the creation and operation of test tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses.
  • Engage and communicate with management, internal teams, and outsourced testing and development partners regarding testing progress, project updates, test outcomes, and resolution of issues.
  • Lead a project team of test engineers and internal and outsourced testing partners to create and implement reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality testing solutions for moderately complex products.
  • Act as the representative for the test engineering team throughout all phases of larger and more complex development projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members in software best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Willingness to obtain a security clearance if required.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficient in Python, Bash, and script writing to automate testing processes and accomplish specific tasks.
  • Possess a mentoring mindset to assist team members in developing efficient software solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English. Ability to effectively convey testing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
