Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with team members and development engineers to comprehend product specifications and create test cases and plans that align with or surpass product requirements.
- Enhance test coverage by developing new tests as part of ongoing test improvement initiatives.
- Execute performance and scalability test cases on HPC storage hardware within a supercomputing environment.
- Document issues encountered during testing by creating detailed tickets.
- Work with developers to reproduce and debug problems.
- Build and install development code as necessary for verification of fixes.
- Provide domain-specific expertise and leadership in software systems for cross-organizational projects.
- Foster innovation and the integration of new technologies into design projects.
- Empowered candidates will be expected to tackle sometimes ambiguous tasks with autonomy and sound technical judgment.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in supporting compute server or storage products is essential.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and network systems is required.
- Proficiency in Bash Shell, Perl, and Python programming languages is necessary.
- Familiarity with C programming language is advantageous.
- Preferred experience in Linux administration and desirable UNIX experience.
- Filesystem and Lustre experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues are required.
- Capability to perform physical tasks related to computer hardware installation and maintenance is necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Experience with HPC and AI computing is desired.
- Evaluating processes for systems design and validation methodology, including the writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools is desired.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and work independently.
- Familiarity with industry-standard IT security and compliance requirements is beneficial.
