Job Summary:
The Social Events Manager is accountable for effectively soliciting and securing weddings, social gatherings, and associated room blocks.

This role collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and Director of Catering to meet the hotel's revenue and market share objectives.

The Social Events Manager is responsible for selling guest rooms and event spaces to optimize revenue potential while ensuring an exceptional experience for customers.


Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned sales and catering revenue targets, alongside prospecting call objectives.
- Proactively conduct prospecting calls, lead sales and catering tours, and entertain clients as necessary.
- Cultivate existing relationships with assigned accounts and market segments.

- Produce detailed resumes for all booked events and blocks to communicate all pertinent details to the hotel team.

- Oversee all booked catering events from inception to completion, including being present on-site to execute events with the Banquet Team.

- Monitor and assess trends within your market segment.

- Collaborate with the Director of PR to develop engaging content for social media.

- Promptly follow up on leads and manage group blocks and social catering events.
- Participate in the creation of promotions tailored to the needs of the assigned market segment.
- Continuously refine product offerings and stay informed about competitive offerings.
- Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain organized files and accurate records of booking activities.
- Adhere to Four Seasons' established regulations, company standards, and sales metrics.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and policies across departments.
- Gain a thorough understanding of food and beverage operations and back-of-house processes.
- Maintain a strong presence in the local community and relevant industry organizations.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, along with any other functions as required by management.

Job Requirements:


- Minimum of 1 year of luxury hotel experience in a guest-facing role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and corporate clients.


Desired Skills:

- Proficiency in professional selling techniques: opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
- Competence in general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks with strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Opera and Golden Sales and Catering systems is a plus.
