Job Summary

The Social Events Manager is tasked with effectively soliciting and securing weddings, social gatherings, and room blocks.

This role collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and Director of Catering to meet the hotel's revenue and market share objectives.

The Social Events Manager is responsible for selling guest accommodations and event spaces to optimize revenue potential for the hotel while ensuring an exceptional experience for the customer.


Job Responsibilities:
Achieve assigned sales and catering revenue targets, alongside prospecting call objectives.
Proactively engage in prospecting calls, conduct sales and catering tours, and entertain clients as necessary.
Enhance existing relationships with assigned accounts and market segments.

Prepare Resumes for all confirmed events and blocks to communicate details of stays and programs to the hotel team.

Oversee all booked catering events from inception to completion, including being present on-site to coordinate with the Banquet Team.

Analyze and assess trends within your market segment.
Collaborate with the Director of PR to create content for social media.
Promptly follow up on leads, manage group blocks, and social catering events.
Contribute to the development of promotions tailored to the needs of the assigned market segment.
Continuously refine product offerings and stay informed about competitive offerings.
Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
Maintain organized files, accurate histories, and all relevant booking activities.
Adhere to Four Seasons' established regulations, company standards, and sales metrics.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and departmental policies.
Gain insight into the F&B department and back-of-house operations.
Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations as applicable.
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and any other functions as required by management.

Job Requirement:
Minimum of 1 year of luxury hotel experience in a guest-facing role.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating, persuading, selling, and influencing other managers, hotel guests, and corporate clients.

Experience in professional selling techniques is preferred: initiating, probing, supporting, and closing.
Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office products, is required.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks is essential, along with strong organizational and presentation skills.
Familiarity with Opera and Golden Sales and Catering systems is a plus.
