Position Overview

The Social Events Sales Executive is tasked with effectively soliciting and securing weddings, social gatherings, and associated room blocks.

This role collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and the Director of Catering to achieve the hotel's revenue and market share objectives. The Social Events Sales Executive is responsible for selling guest accommodations and event spaces to maximize revenue potential for the hotel while ensuring an exceptional experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve assigned sales and catering revenue targets, along with prospecting call objectives.
  • Proactively engage in prospecting calls, conduct sales and catering tours, and entertain clients as necessary.
  • Enhance existing relationships with assigned accounts and market segments.
  • Create Resumes for all confirmed events and blocks to communicate all pertinent details to the hotel team.
  • Oversee all booked catering events from inception to completion, including being present on-site to coordinate with the Banquet Team.
  • Monitor and assess trends within your market segment.
  • Collaborate with the Director of PR to develop content for social media platforms.
  • Promptly follow up on leads and manage group blocks and social catering events.
  • Contribute to the development of promotions tailored to the needs of the assigned market segment.
  • Continuously refine product offerings and maintain familiarity with competitive offerings.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain organized files, current trace dates, accurate history, and all relevant booking activities.
  • Adhere to Four Seasons' established regulations, company standards, and sales metrics.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and departmental policies.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Food & Beverage department and back-of-house operations.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the local community and relevant industry organizations.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as any other functions required by management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of luxury hotel experience in a guest-facing role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, and influence clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in professional selling techniques, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
  • Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks with strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Opera and Golden Sales and Catering software is a plus.
