Job Summary

The Social Events Sales Manager is tasked with effectively soliciting and securing weddings, social gatherings, and social room blocks.

This role collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and Director of Catering to meet the Hotel's revenue and market share objectives.

The Social Events Sales Manager is responsible for selling guest accommodations and event spaces to optimize revenue potential for the Hotel while ensuring an exceptional experience for the Customer.


Job Responsibilities:
Achieve assigned sales and catering revenue targets, along with prospecting call objectives.
Proactively engage in prospecting calls, conduct sales and catering tours, and entertain clients as necessary.
Enhance existing relationships with assigned accounts and market segments.

Prepare Resumes for all confirmed events and blocks to communicate all details of the stay/program to the hotel team.

Oversee all booked catering events from inception to completion, including being present on-site to execute the event with the Banquet Team.

Monitor and assess trends within your market segment.
Collaborate closely with the Director of PR to develop content for social media.
Promptly follow up on leads, process group blocks, and manage social catering events.
Participate in the creation of all promotions tailored to the needs of the assigned market segment.
Continuously refine product and concept offerings while becoming familiar with and active within our competitive set.
Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a courteous, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
Maintain organized files and current trace dates, accurate history, and all relevant booking activities.
Adhere to Four Seasons' established regulations, company standards, and related sales metrics.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Hotel's operations and policies across applicable departments.
Gain a thorough understanding of the Food & Beverage department and back-of-house operations.
Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations as appropriate.
Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.

Job Requirement:
1 Year of Luxury Hotel Experience required in a guest-facing role.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients.

Experience with professional selling techniques is preferred: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office products, is essential.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong organizational and presentation skills.
Familiarity with Opera and Golden Sales and Catering is advantageous.
