Department Overview:

Job Summary:
The role involves conducting inventory evaluations to ensure sufficient levels of supplies and equipment are maintained. The position supports Material Management in fostering strong relationships between various departments and ensuring optimal customer satisfaction. The individual must adhere to instructions and assist Material Management leadership with assigned tasks, maintaining professionalism and proper communication etiquette at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the vital role of the department in supporting patient care
  • Engage with departments regarding supply issues and substitutions; manage incoming calls and inquiries
  • Maintain supply areas and materials in a safe and organized environment
  • Verify the quantity and descriptions of supplies received or delivered
  • Conduct inventory, stock, and distribute supplies and equipment as per requisitions
  • Receive and rotate incoming stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method
  • Label and stock supplies in designated inventory locations
  • Initiate follow-up procedures to prevent stock shortages
  • Participate in scheduled physical inventory counts
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Required Skills:
Familiarity with computer systems and related equipment is preferred.

Experience:
Previous experience in materials management processes is preferred.
