Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plumbing Project Manager for our commercial construction division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the understanding of project scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards for assigned tasks.
  • Contribute to work execution strategies, including site-specific safety protocols, methods, pre-fabrication planning, and material staging.
  • Ensure timely generation of material requisitions by assigned foremen, specifying release dates and packing requirements.
  • Collaborate with foremen to plan and supervise trade activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgeted hours.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to foremen regarding labor hours versus budget, addressing performance issues related to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Assist in resolving construction challenges, including productivity and work interface issues.
  • Adjust work sequences to align with construction schedules, utilizing knowledge of equipment capacities and personnel assignments.
  • Prepare estimates for time and materials for contract modifications.
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards and implement corrective measures to mitigate job site hazards.
  • Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Evaluate the performance of assigned personnel and ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Train and guide lead foremen, foremen, mechanics, and helpers on company policies and safety regulations.
  • Report any workplace injuries promptly to the Safety Manager and Human Resources.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by Trade Managers and Project Managers.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Possess a strong understanding of industry standards and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Exhibit effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams, setting a positive example.
  • Demonstrate initiative in professional development through self-study and training opportunities.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction scheduling and cost control is essential.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and efficiency in managing work under various pressures.
  • Proficient in online research and possess intermediate skills in MS Office and construction management software.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and varying conditions.
  • Good vision, with or without correction, and the ability to perform tasks requiring physical agility.
  • Must comply with safety regulations, including wearing safety glasses as required.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders, with no fear of heights.
Non-Essential Duties:
  • Engage in industry events and stay updated on trends through webinars and educational resources.
  • Accept and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing foremen, tradespeople, and subcontractors.
Education, Experience, and Certification:
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in commercial plumbing.
  • High school diploma or GED, with completion of a relevant post-secondary program or apprenticeship.
  • Familiarity with Florida Plumbing Code, Mechanical Code, Gas Code, and other relevant regulations.
  • Med gas certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • OSHA 30 certification, First Aid, CPR, and other safety certifications are required.
