Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage trade operations, including establishing construction methods, assessing manpower needs, estimating material quantities, coordinating equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation of daily activities and project progress.
  • Facilitate collaboration among various trades, departments, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain communication with project management, estimating, and planning teams to guarantee adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting construction challenges, such as productivity issues and work interface conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and document corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support interdepartmental coordination to enhance trade activities and project timelines.
  • Evaluate and record the performance of team members.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of timesheets for team members.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by Project Manager(s).
  • Supervise lead foremen, foremen, mechanics, and helpers.
  • Forecast manpower needs for both short and long-term project phases.
  • Document any changes in project scope accurately.
  • Prepare estimates for time and materials for contract modifications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude and adhere to industry standards of accuracy.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and installation instructions effectively.
  • Show initiative in professional development through self-study, training, and workshops.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of construction scheduling and cost management, with the ability to lead and supervise large teams.
  • Effectively engage with clients, vendors, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage work efficiently under varying conditions.
  • Proficient in internet research and possess intermediate skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, maintain balance, and endure extended periods of standing or sitting; must not have a fear of heights.
  • Must pass regular drug screenings and be open to background checks.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Florida Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Must maintain insurability with CES insurance provider.
Experience and Certifications:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar construction technologies, methods, and practices.
  • Current certifications in OSHA 30-hour training, First Aid, and CPR are required.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program lasting two years or more, or an apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Licensure may be necessary.
