Position Overview

The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the HRIS platforms to guarantee data accuracy, operational efficiency, and comprehensive reporting. This position requires collaboration with diverse HR departments to improve system functionality, refine HR workflows, and align technology solutions with the broader HR objectives.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Management:

  • Administer and refresh HRIS platforms to maintain precise and prompt data input and system operations.
  • Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and configurations in partnership with IT and HR divisions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and rectify any inconsistencies.

Data Oversight:

  • Oversee employee information within the HRIS, including onboarding, separations, transfers, promotions, and other employment status modifications.
  • Create and uphold data entry protocols to guarantee consistency and precision.
  • Produce and disseminate standard and tailored reports, dashboards, and analytics to fulfill HR and organizational requirements.

System Enhancement:

  • Identify potential areas for system advancements and process optimizations.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to roll out system updates, new functionalities, and features.
  • Offer suggestions for maximizing system utility and enhancing user experience.

User Assistance and Training:

  • Deliver technical support and troubleshooting for HRIS users.
  • Create and present training materials and sessions for HRIS users to ensure proficient system use.
  • Serve as a primary contact for HRIS-related inquiries and support needs.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure adherence to data protection laws and organizational protocols.
  • Safeguard system security by managing user access and permissions.
  • Monitor and mitigate security threats associated with HRIS data and systems.

Project Involvement:

  • Engage in HRIS-related initiatives, including system launches, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Assist in outlining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure project effectiveness.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in HRIS management or a comparable role.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the skill to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with SQL, report generation, and data analysis tools is advantageous.
