Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing special meals and ensuring the quality and quantity of food prepared meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, maintaining proper food safety and handling procedures.
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain accurate food logs and monitor inventory levels to prevent waste and optimize ordering.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials and keep Food & Beverage service staff informed of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
- At least 3 years of related work experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
