Job Summary:

The Assistant National Sales Manager for Dealer Development supports the National Sales Department Manager and Area Sales Managers in achieving Suzuki's sales and distribution objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, implementation, and management of Area Sales Managers' and dealer development strategies, programs, and maintaining a strong Suzuki brand image to dealers and retail customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the National Sales Department Manager to drive business growth through dealer network expansion, effective sales strategies, and sales staff development and evaluation.
  • Assist in dealer network expansion and optimization to identify potential dealers for expansion in target markets.
  • Assist in generating data and analysis to identify appropriate points in which to solicit new dealers.
  • Assist in staff development, training, and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers to ensure optimal performance and satisfaction.
  • Assist in dealer concerns and provide solutions to enhance their performance.
  • Support Area Sales Managers in development and execution of sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Work with Area Sales Managers to create and deliver effective sales presentation and training programs for dealers.
  • Assist in analyzing, understanding, interpreting, and communicating the latest market trends, state and federal laws, and regulations applicable to the power sports and motorcycle industry and dealer distribution channels.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, including sales performance, market penetration, and dealer evaluations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
  • Provide ad hoc research and analysis on various subjects as requested by the executive team.
  • Assist in planning and execution of promotional events, exhibitions, and Area Sales Managers and dealer meetings.
  • Collaborate on special projects and initiatives related to sales and dealer development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Five to 10 years' experience in the power sports or motorcycle industry preferred.
  • Two to five years' experience in sales, dealer development, or related field roles.
  • Two to five years' experience in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales-related applications.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support Area Sales Managers and dealer development activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills.
  • At a minimum, basic motorcycle and ATV riding skills.
