Job Overview

The Automotive Service Guest Relations Specialist position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with compensation based on the operational needs of the business. This role is crucial as it involves acting as the key holder for the service center and serving as the manager on duty (MOD) when the Store Manager is unavailable or when the situation demands it. The primary expectation is to deliver an exceptional customer service experience while also supporting the sales of automotive repair services and tires. This position plays a vital role in driving business growth through effective sales presentations and a comprehensive understanding of products and services offered.

Compensation: $14.00-$18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete the required training program to proficiently execute the service center's sales process. Serve as the initial point of contact for customers both via phone and in-person, responsible for engaging with customers, scheduling service appointments, building rapport, understanding their needs, communicating service processes and timelines, and presenting necessary services in line with the sales process. Assist in various aspects of customer service, including work order completion, register assistance, facility upkeep, and managing outside purchase orders under management's guidance. Act as a secondary key carrier, responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing tasks. Adhere to all policies and procedures related to cash handling, credit, refunds, and returns, collaborating with management to address customer service issues and identify business opportunities. Effectively communicate all products and services available to customers. Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as governmental standards, including environmental codes and safety regulations. Work alongside management to ensure a safe and healthy work environment that meets all local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain a clean and organized customer waiting area. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required. At least one year of sales experience is necessary. Strong verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to accurately document sales work orders and explain services clearly to customers. Excellent problem-solving abilities are required. Availability to work during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This position operates within an automotive service environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, varying weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Responsibilities include:

Frequently lifting, carrying, and placing items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Standing and walking for extended periods. Engaging in frequent overhead reaching and bending, including squatting, kneeling, and twisting. Climbing ladders to retrieve and stock items. Communicating effectively in person and via telephone. Entering and locating information on a computer. Safely operating a motor vehicle.
