The Automotive Customer Care Specialist position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, offering an hourly wage that aligns with the operational needs of the business. This role is pivotal as it serves as the acting manager during the absence of the Store Manager or during peak times. The primary focus of the Automotive Customer Care Specialist is to deliver an exceptional customer service experience while promoting automotive repair services and tire sales. This position plays a significant role in driving business growth through effective sales presentations and comprehensive product knowledge.
Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $14.00 to $18.00, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the training program to effectively implement the sales process.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, engaging them both in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, and building rapport.
- Assist in various guest care functions, including work order completion and register support, under management's guidance.
- Act as a secondary key holder, responsible for essential opening and closing tasks.
- Adhere to all cash handling and transaction policies, collaborating with management to address customer service issues and identify business opportunities.
- Communicate effectively about all products and services offered.
- Follow company policies and safety standards, including compliance with governmental regulations.
- Work with management to maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Ensure the guest waiting area is organized and welcoming.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required.
- At least one year of sales experience is essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills are necessary for writing work orders and explaining services.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities are required.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This role is situated in an automotive service environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, varying weather conditions, and other typical shop elements. The following physical requirements are expected:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.
- Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending and twisting.
- Climbing ladders to access stock may be necessary.
- Effective communication in person and via telephone is required.
- Proficiency in using computers for information entry and retrieval.
- Safe operation of a motor vehicle is essential.
