Job Overview

The Automotive Guest Relations Specialist position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with compensation based on the specific needs of the business. This role serves as a pivotal member of the team, acting as the key holder and manager on duty when the Store Manager is unavailable or when the situation demands. The primary focus of the Guest Relations Specialist is to deliver an exceptional customer service experience while also contributing to the sales of automotive repair services and tires.

Compensation

Pay Range: $14.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the training program to effectively implement the Tire Choice sales process.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for customers, both in-person and over the phone. Engage with customers, schedule appointments, build rapport, assess needs, communicate procedures and timelines, and present necessary services following the established sales process.
  • Assist management in various aspects of customer service, work order completion, register support, facility upkeep, and ordering of outside purchases.
  • Act as a secondary key carrier, responsible for essential opening and closing tasks.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to cash handling, credit, checks, refunds, and returns. Collaborate with management to address customer service issues, complaints, and business opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate all products and services offered by Tire Choice to customers.
  • Understand and comply with company policies, governmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Work with management to maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Keep the customer waiting area organized and tidy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are necessary.
  • At least one year of sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are essential for accurately writing sales work orders and explaining services to customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This position operates within an automotive service environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Responsibilities include:

  • Frequently lifting, carrying, and placing items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Climbing ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise.
  • Communicating effectively in person and via telephone.
  • Entering and locating information on a computer.
  • Safely operating a motor vehicle.
