Short DescriptionPatient Access Coordinators serve as a centralized point of contact for patients seeking access to physician and radiology services across various specialties. This encompasses Internal and Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Pain Management.
Patient Access Coordinators excel in a dynamic environment, possess strong multitasking abilities, are technically proficient, service-oriented, and communicate effectively while consistently demonstrating professionalism.
They provide an outstanding experience to patients, customers, and physicians who reach out to the Access Center by facilitating patient access throughout Cooper's provider network.
Education RequirementsA high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Special RequirementsCandidates must exhibit a genuine interest in delivering an exceptional customer experience that aligns with Cooper's objectives related to patient access across the organization.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey relevant information and instructions in a clear and organized manner.
Ability to meet or exceed established quantitative and qualitative performance metrics for the role.
A collaborative team player with a sincere interest in resolving customer concerns.
Enjoyment in interacting and working cooperatively within a team setting.
Ability to assess issues and swiftly determine the most effective resolution; solid decision-making capabilities.
Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, with a quick learning ability.
Excellent time management and organizational skills are necessary.
Proficiency in computer usage, including the Internet, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Familiarity with EPIC systems is advantageous.
Willingness to work varied hours and shifts as business needs evolve.
Ability to use a telephone headset and manipulate objects such as a pen, keyboard, and mouse.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
