Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide clear and respectful communication to patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Registration and Verification: Accurately complete registration records, verify patient information, and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Point of Service Collection: Collect all applicable co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles, and update patient records accordingly.
  • Confidentiality and Sensitivity: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to respond to patient needs and ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or GED; Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in computer use, typing 35 wpm, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Language: Bilingual skills a plus.
