Access Coordinator

The Access Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support at the front desk of the Osborn Family Health Center. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and Confirm Appointments: Coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance information, and obtain necessary referrals.
- Check-In and Check-Out Procedures: Ensure accurate and efficient check-in and check-out processes for patients, including data entry and electronic health record maintenance.
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Administrative Support: Assist physicians with requests, maintain inventory, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- Electronic Health Record Maintenance: Accurately record patient information, update records, and maintain confidentiality.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, both verbally and in writing.
- Compliance: Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum three years of experience as a medical receptionist or medical assistant preferred.
- Certifications: NA
- Skill Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Visual and Auditory Abilities: Ability to see and hear within normal limits with or without corrective devices.
- Motor Dexterity: Ability to utilize proper body mechanics and perform tasks that require fine motor skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
