We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our registration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes, and maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide clear and respectful communication to patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Registration and Verification: Accurately verify patient demographic, insurance, and eligibility information, and obtain necessary signatures and authorizations.
- Point of Service Collection: Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles in a timely and professional manner.
- Confidentiality and Sensitivity: Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions, handling confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to respond to patient needs and ensure seamless care delivery.
- Education: High school degree or GED; Associate degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Proficient in computer use, typing 35 wpm, and knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
- Language: Bilingual skills a plus.
