Short Description

Patient Navigators serve as a centralized point of access for patients seeking physician and radiology services across various specialties. This encompasses Internal and Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Pain Management.

Patient Navigators excel in dynamic environments, possess strong multitasking abilities, are technically proficient, service-oriented, and communicate effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.

They ensure an outstanding experience for patients, customers, and physicians contacting the Access Center by facilitating patient access throughout the Cooper provider network.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Special Requirements

Must exhibit a genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional Customer Experience that aligns with Cooper's objectives related to patient access.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey relevant information clearly and concisely.

Capability to meet or exceed established quantitative and qualitative performance metrics for the role.

Team-oriented individual with a sincere interest in resolving customer inquiries.

Enjoys collaborating and interacting within a team setting.

Ability to assess situations and quickly determine the most effective resolution; strong decision-making skills.

Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. Quick learner.

Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.

Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with the Internet, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Knowledge of EPIC systems is advantageous.

Availability to work varied hours and shifts as business needs evolve.

Ability to use a telephone headset and manipulate objects such as a pen, keyboard, and mouse.

Bilingual abilities are a plus.
