Job Overview

Position Title: Client Support & Care Staff

Employment Type: Per-diem

Compensation: $17.25 per hour, increasing to $18.25 per hour upon completion of Medication Certification

Driver's License: A valid CT Driver's License is required

Role Summary:
The Client Support & Care Staff role is dedicated to delivering habilitative assistance and compassionate care to individuals across various Agency programs. Key responsibilities encompass direct daily support, educational guidance, client supervision, and meticulous record maintenance. Attention to detail is essential.

Essential Qualifications:
Completion of the Medication Certification Program, along with PMT, CPR, and First Aid training, is mandatory. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clients, tracking their well-being and whereabouts.
- Aid in the development and execution of Individualized Plans of Service.
- Educate, supervise, and assist clients with daily living tasks.
- Monitor client progress towards established goals while safeguarding client rights.
- Document incidents and medication discrepancies as necessary.
- Execute behavioral plans and recommendations from occupational, physical, and speech therapists.
- Create and facilitate recreational and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate effectively with Clinical Directors, Consultants, families, and educational institutions.
- Maintain precise records of services rendered to clients.

Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and exert over 100 lbs. of force during physical restraint procedures, alongside possessing good vision and hearing capabilities.

Educational Background:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals facing developmental and/or behavioral challenges is preferred.

Language Proficiency:
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English, including safety protocols and procedural manuals.

Mathematical Competence:
Basic mathematical skills are necessary, including proficiency with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to adhere to detailed instructions and address problems involving multiple variables.

Work Environment:
This role may involve moderate noise levels and exposure to varying weather conditions while traveling.
