Role Summary:
The Client Support & Care Staff role is centered around delivering essential habilitative assistance and care to individuals within various programs offered by the Agency. Key responsibilities encompass direct daily care, educational support, client supervision, and meticulous record maintenance. Attention to detail is crucial in this position.
Qualifications:
Completion of the Medication Certification Program, along with PMT, CPR, and First Aid training, is required. A valid driver's license with a commendable driving record is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clients, ensuring their safety and monitoring their whereabouts.
- Assist in the development and execution of Individualized Plans of Service.
- Educate, supervise, and support clients in their daily living tasks.
- Track client progress towards established goals while safeguarding client rights.
- Prepare incident reports and medication error documentation.
- Execute behavioral plans and recommendations from occupational, physical, and speech therapists.
- Create and facilitate recreational and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate effectively with the Clinical Director, Consultants, families, and educational institutions.
- Maintain precise records of services rendered to clients.
Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the capability to lift up to 75 pounds and exert over 100 lbs. of force during physical restraint procedures, alongside possessing good vision and hearing abilities.
Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals facing developmental and/or behavioral challenges is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English, including safety guidelines and procedural manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic mathematical skills are required, including proficiency with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to adhere to detailed instructions and resolve problems involving multiple variables.
Work Environment:
This role may entail moderate noise levels and exposure to varying weather conditions while traveling by automobile.
