Job Overview

Position Title: Client Support & Care Staff

Employment Type: Per-diem

Compensation: $17.25 per hour, increasing to $18.25 per hour upon successful completion of Medication Certification

Driver's License: A valid CT Driver's License is required

Role Summary:
The Client Support & Care Staff role is focused on delivering habilitative support and care to individuals across various programs within the Agency. Key responsibilities include providing direct care, teaching essential skills, supervising clients, and maintaining comprehensive records. Attention to detail is crucial.

Qualifications:
Completion of the Medication Certification Program, along with PMT, CPR, and First Aid training, is mandatory. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist in the development and execution of Individualized Plans of Service.
- Educate, supervise, and support clients in daily living tasks.
- Track client progress towards goals and uphold client rights.
- Prepare incident and medication error reports.
- Execute behavioral plans and recommendations from occupational, physical, and speech therapists.
- Create and facilitate recreational and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate effectively with the Clinical Director, Consultants, families, and educational institutions.
- Maintain precise records of services rendered to clients.

Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and exert over 100 lbs. of force during physical restraint situations, along with possessing good vision and hearing capabilities.

Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals facing developmental and/or behavioral challenges is preferred.

Language Proficiency:
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English, including safety guidelines and procedural manuals.

Mathematical Competence:
Basic math skills are necessary, including proficiency with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Skills:
Ability to follow detailed instructions and address problems involving multiple variables.

Work Environment:
This position may involve moderate noise levels and exposure to varying weather conditions while traveling.

Service Area:
The role encompasses multiple locations.
