Logistics Business Development Manager

At DC Logistics Company, we are seeking a skilled and resourceful Business Development Manager to promote our logistical services and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain assigned accounts and provide ongoing customer support to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote logistical services and identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers to promote logistical services and negotiate contracts.
  • Integrate suitable technology solutions to optimize logistical services and communication channels.
  • Evaluate business processes, assess risks, and recommend improvements to achieve sales targets.
  • Address customer concerns and find innovative solutions for complex logistical challenges.
  • Assess customer needs and determine suitable modes of transportation that align with cost and timeframe expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistical services and arrange shipment and transportation details.
  • Develop and maintain an effective carrier network and excellent customer relationships.
  • Oversee the sales team, document processes, and prepare executive reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sales, shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehousing.
  • At least two years' experience as a logistics business development manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superb organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration capabilities.
