Job Overview: ENSCO is in search of a dynamic, inventive, and driven professional to contribute to the U.S. Space Force's MILSATCOM Program through the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) contract. This role is pivotal in supporting a variety of strategic MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure within a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Space Force clients, system stakeholders, and external contractors to synchronize cybersecurity and cryptographic requirements and ensure proper architecture flow down from the system level to individual components.
* Establish security requirements, architecture, and design for embedded and large-scale, distributed DoD space and ground control systems.
* Conduct systems engineering tasks in Cryptographic System Security Engineering (SSE) in alignment with NSA standards and regulations, as well as Cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization (A&A), Cyber System Integration Testing & Evaluation, and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) in accordance with NIST.
* Assist in ensuring the security, quality, timeliness, mission partner support, completeness, and regulatory compliance of ATO RMF documentation.
* Support the security control assessor (SCA) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) tailored to DOD/DAF/USSF baselines, audit standards, and plan of actions and milestones (POA&M).
* Participate in expert threat briefings; oversee security program design, incident response strategies, cyber risk assessments, and attack surface evaluations; investigate security incidents, conduct vulnerability assessments, and develop security protocols.
* Apply risk management principles to address vulnerabilities in system security architectures.
* Facilitate continuous monitoring or periodic scans of networked assets and manage defensive cyber operations, threat intelligence, threat hunting, malware analysis, countermeasures, and network analysis.
Required Qualifications:
* BA or BS degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, network and telecommunications, information systems, information technology, or computer information systems.
* 7+ years of experience in System Engineering Architecture/Design.
* 7+ years of experience in Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Security.
* Familiarity with modern computing architectures including CI/CD, microservices, cloud, and container technologies.
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering throughout the system lifecycle phases including concept, development, production, use, support, and retirement.
* Experience with public and private key governance, Encryption Algorithms, and the mathematical principles behind encryption.
* Proven experience leading risk management initiatives to secure and maintain system authorizations using DoD RMF tools.
* Proficient in delivering cybersecurity architecture and engineering services.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
* Strong writing and oral communication skills; capable of producing final version technical documents and reports.
* Knowledge of RMF or DIACAP Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) processes.
* Familiarity with NIST and CNSSI 1253 RMF Analysis and Accreditation.
* Understanding of Network Engineering and Communication Systems.
* Knowledge of the NSA end cryptographic unit certification process.
* U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.
Desired Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on IA/Cybersecurity.
* 10+ years of experience in IA/Cybersecurity.
* 10+ years of experience in System Engineering Architecture/Design.
* Experience with DoD Space programs.
* Knowledge of Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E).
* Security certification (CISSP).
* TS/SCI clearance.
