Acuity Innovations is on the lookout for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
The MSEIT (MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test) team is seeking an individual to provide cybersecurity support for the MILSATCOM Capability area. The MILSATCOM portfolio requires ongoing cybersecurity assistance to address the needs of our next-generation protected SATCOM.
The MSEIT initiative delivers cutting-edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force's Space and Missiles System Center, supporting the acquisition of advanced Military Satellite Communications systems that ensure secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's defense personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing all Department of the Air Force information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments using various compliance assessment solutions and security technical implementation guides.
- Evaluating security configurations of operating systems and network devices in accordance with approved guidelines.
- Performing continuous monitoring of security controls, audits, risk analysis, and developing mitigation strategies for information systems.
- Ensuring compliance of software, hardware, and firmware with appropriate security configuration guidelines.
- Following proper configuration management procedures prior to implementation and coordinating changes with relevant security personnel.
- Recommending protective or corrective measures during system development when security incidents or vulnerabilities are identified.
- Reporting security incidents or vulnerabilities to the appropriate security management personnel.
- Preparing necessary documentation for system security compliance and coordination.
- Supporting the SSC in ensuring security, quality, and regulatory compliance of documentation.
- Participating in threat briefings and overseeing security program design and incident response plans.
- Maintaining required cybersecurity certifications.
Required Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in relevant fields such as engineering, computer science, or information technology.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Systems or Cybersecurity.
- Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and experience with security controls.
- Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and using network analysis tools.
- Experience with Linux/Unix Command Line Interface and network device security configurations.
- Ability to read and extract configurations from network devices.
- Familiarity with military cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Cyber Security or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security and System Engineering.
- Relevant certifications in Linux and Cisco.
- Experience with DoD Space programs and Security Test and Evaluation.
- Possession of TS/SCI Clearance.
Clearance Requirements:
- All selected candidates will undergo a background check and security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
