Position Overview

The Aerospace Corporation is in search of an Industrial Security Specialist III/IV. As a vital member of the Personnel Security team, your role will involve overseeing the administration and compliance of personnel security clearances and access protocols. You will play a crucial part in supporting the organization in fulfilling mission objectives by ensuring that all security clearances are accurately processed for government stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include providing on-site assistance for all security-related actions in alignment with corporate and governmental policies and directives.

Work Environment

This position is full-time and requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and enforce adherence to corporate and governmental regulations, policies, and procedures concerning the safeguarding of government programs.
  • Conduct security indoctrination briefings, foreign travel briefings, and termination debriefings.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and delivery of security training, briefings, and educational programs.
  • Engage with various complex government and internal databases.
  • Process security clearances and access requests in accordance with government regulations, offering guidance on the completion of security documentation, and tracking all clearance submissions.
  • Provide management with reports on clearance statuses.
  • Conduct fingerprinting, process visit requests, and report incidents to government stakeholders.
  • Maintain records of security clearances, including tracking and metrics.
  • Interface with government clients, contractors, employees, and all levels of management.
  • Handle Personal Identifiable Information (PII) with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Conduct self-inspections and audits to ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Submit incident reports to government clients, provide guidance on reporting obligations, and assist employees with clearance-related issues.
  • Update and draft procedures and corporate policies.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum requirements for the Industrial Security Specialist III include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Current DoD Secret clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI. U.S. citizenship is necessary for security clearance eligibility.
  • Familiarity with government security regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of handling sensitive but unclassified information.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additionally, the minimum requirements for the Industrial Security Specialist IV include:

  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of DISS or other government clearance databases.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be advantageous if you possess one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree.
  • Current TS/SCI eligibility, with an adjudicated polygraph.
  • Completion of the FSO certification for possessing facilities.
  • Familiarity with DISS, NBIS, and SIMS databases.
