Position Title: Cybersecurity Engineer & Analyst

The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a crucial role in providing direct Assessment & Authorization support to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for all mission-critical information systems. This position involves offering Cybersecurity Analysis & Engineering assistance to ensure the secure functioning of enterprise networks, systems, and vital mission data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain entries in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and manage Assessment & Authorization packages in alignment with DoDI Risk Management Framework.
- Prepare and disseminate schedules and status reports for mission systems Certification & Accreditation (C&A).
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) by registering mission systems in the ITIPS database.
- Review and document findings related to enterprise mission systems certification policies and procedures, suggesting necessary modifications.
- Administer updates to information assurance telecoms and the eMASS database.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to evaluate the security posture and implications of new systems and programs mandated by various defense agencies.
- Oversee the Vulnerability Management System, ensuring accurate entry of Technical Compliance Network Orders and resolution of network scan findings.
- Review security control implementations and contribute to the Test and Evaluation Management Plan (TEMP) as per DoDI guidelines.
- Conduct Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and physical security assessments on enterprise mission systems.
- Reassess information assurance and cyber controls for accredited systems, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Evaluate changes in A&A policy requirements and their impact on mission system security posture.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering. Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with eMASS (Mission Systems Assessment & Authorization) is essential.
- Possession of Security +/ DOD 8570 Certification IAT Level II is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-10 years of relevant experience within USSF or related DoD organizations.
- Certification as a CISSP or equivalent is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework protocols and USSF A&A procedures.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is highly desired.
Security Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
