The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Security Specialist to join our team. As a member of our Personnel Security team, you will be responsible for the administration and compliance of personnel security clearances and accesses.
You will support the corporation in meeting mission requirements by ensuring all security clearances are properly processed to government customers. You will provide on-site support for all security actions in accordance with corporate and governmental policies and directives.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, execute, and ensure adherence to company and government regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the protection of government programs.
- Conduct SCI security indoctrination briefings, foreign travel briefings, and termination debriefings.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and conducting security training, briefings, and education programs.
- Work on various complex government and internal databases.
- Process security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations, provide guidance on the completion of security paperwork, and track all clearance submissions.
- Provide management with clearance status reports.
- Conduct fingerprinting, process visit requests, and report incidents to government customers.
- Maintain security clearance records, tracking, and metrics.
- Interface with government customers, contractors, employees, and all levels of management.
- Handle Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and must possess discretion in handling clearance information.
- Conduct self-inspections/audits in compliance with government regulations.
- Submit incident reports to government customers, provide guidance on reporting responsibilities, and assist employees with clearance issues.
- Update and write procedures and corporate policies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience.
- Current DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Knowledge of government security regulations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of handling sensitive but unclassified information.
- Be customer service-oriented and able to multitask.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's or master's degree.
- Current TS/SCI eligibility, with adjudicated poly.
- Completion of the FSO certification for Possessing facilities.
- Knowledge of DISS, NBIS, and SIMS, databases.
